Safety Harnesses
RidgeGear Safety Harnesses are the foundation of all fall protection systems, and it's because of this that RidgeGear have developed a dynamic and functional range of Safety harnesses which allow unparalleled performance and comfort. RidgeGear offers its range of harnesses with water repellant webbing. This also helps the webbing resist staining and contamination from oil and grease.
The RidgeGear - RGH3 Safety Harness with Rear and Side D connecting links -WPB and Gear Loops combines the basic fall arrest harness with a comfortable work-positioning belt in one unit. The harness is fitted with a rear dee and two side dee rings mounted to the belt and can be used similar to the RGH1. When fitted with a pole/work-positioning belt (RGP1&2), the harness can be used for pole climbing or work-positioning on open structures. In certain circumstances, the side dee's on the RGH3, can be used for work restraint in the horizontal plane.
The wide belt fitted to the RGH3 is comfortable and provides lumbar support to the operative. The belt is also fitted with three gear loops for carrying tools leaving the hands free thus maintaining the required three points of contact when climbing.The harness is fully adjustable and is fitted with rip stitch indicators.
Fall Arrest
When working at height, fall arrest systems are an effective way of intercepting a fall and RidgeGear offer safe, streamlined and ergonomic blocks you can rely on. Fall arrest blocks are made to be robust, reliable and predominantly used in industrial environments.
The RidgeGear RGA4 15m Wire Fall Arrest Rescue Block is the RGA4 is a three-way retrieval block fitted with an up/down winch mechanism and the standard fall arrest capability. This unit can be used as a standard fall arrest block, but in the event of a fall, the operative can be winched up or down to safety almost immediately. As most rescue systems lower the casualty, the RGA4 can raise the operative to a safe area, if the area below is unsuitable.
The RGA4 can also be fitted to the RGR1 tripod for use in the confined access industry. The Man-riding rescue retrieval winch function is for use only as a rescue provision & is not for access/egress.
Height Safety Kits
The RidgeGear - RGHK2 - Scaffolders Kit is a complete harness safety kit specifically designed with the scaffolder in mind. The kit comprises of our famous RGH2 front & rear "D" harness and a RGL1 1.8 m Lanyard which comes complete with our ultra lightweight RGK11 Karabiner. All kits unless specified are supplied in a polythene bag - A strong case, rucksack or pump bag can be ordered separately
